Dear Colleagues,
It is my special honor and pleasure to invite you to the 5th Congress of the Balkan Academy for Forensic Sciences to be held from 3 to 7 June 2007 in Ohrid.
The Congress will be attended by famous experts in the area of forensic science from the Balkans, the European Union, and the United States. With the purpose of expanding our horizons, present our experiences, and exchange information and ideas through friendly socializing, I invite you to attend this important Congress.
The organization of the Congress in Ohrid, the cultural treasury of the Balkans and the center of all-Slavic literacy, gives this assembly an exceptional charm and the possibility for a particular experience. In Ohrid, the city that has lived for 2400 years and in which the scientific thought was institutionalized for the first time in Europe with the formation of the Ohrid University by St. Clement of Ohrid in the 9th century, you will have the opportunity to visit the numerous churches whose icons have been created from the 9th to the 19th centuries, the Fortress of Samoil, Plaosnik, the National Park Galicica and, above all, to enjoy the beauties of the Ohrid Lake, the clearest lake known for the primeval vegetable and animal kingdoms. In Ohrid, you will be able to taste the specialties of the wonderful Macedonian kitchen and traditional Macedonian wines.
